Doctor Fieser’s work with xenomicrobiology is particularly vital to exploring new worlds. While the chance of infection from diseases outside of one’s home biome is slim, a one-in-a-million disease could begin a plague of galactic proportions, much as the common Terran flu did to the poor inhabitants of Trappist-C. The seeming ‘infected’ nature of the invading xenos on PK-L7 fascinates Doctor Fieser, who plans many, many papers on the ‘mold’ all the infected have in common, assuming anyone ever makes it out alive.
