Barbra’s older brother Johnny is a cynical realist who hails from Pittsburgh. Unlike his younger sibling, Johnny doesn’t hold much respect for church or the duty of visiting deceased family members, and so he is disgruntled at having to drive his sister three hours into the country just to place a wreath on their father’s grave. Johnny isn’t superstitious and he gleefully mocks Barbra’s uneasiness in the desolate cemetery. His skeptical nature leaves Johnny unprepared for an attack by the living dead at the outset of the NIGHT.
