Father Winston
“It’s not killing. It’s mercy.”
Father Winston is a good man in a bad position. Unable to so much as swat a fly for most of his life, he now finds himself gunning down the risen dead. It took some time for him to pick up a gun, though when he did he discovered he had a natural eye. Sadly, this disturbed him even more. Ultimately, he’s reconciled himself to the fact that the Commandment’s true meaning is ‘Thou shalt not murder’. Self-defense is not murder, and these poor souls are not really alive, are they?
