Although newspapers out east like to portray Jesse James’ criminal exploits as philanthropic ‘Robin Hood’ type of adventures, Jesse himself says that he’s never given anyone other than kin a single dime. Why would he? Robbing banks and trains was all he was ever good at, and he was damned good at his work. But, like so many others, life is no longer what it was, and money doesn’t mean anything any more. Jesse was always a survivor at heart, and now that means helping the living to fight against the dead.
