Nikolas hails from far-off Russia, a place where steam power has been known for decades, but rarely utilized to its fullest. He traveled Europe, studying in Berlin, Paris, Madrid, and London before crossing the Atlantic to attend lectures in the United States. Here he happened to visit a logging camp in the Appalachians where he saw two men utilizing a huge felling saw to harvest a mighty tree. Inspiration struck, and within a year, he had developed his incredible Sawing Chain, and none too soon! It works on zombies even better than trees.
