Matsu “Yomoshichi” Tada – Japan
“Twelve years in the military, and I thought I’d put away guns forever. Oh well. Old habits.”
Yomoshichi’s character could be said to be the prime protagonist, although no character in Yotsuya Kaidan is ever truly innocent. Yomoshichi feels the same way about himself, having served the UN in the Corporate Rebellions as special forces. As the oldest member of the troupe and the one with the most military experience, Yomoshichi has taken on a protective fatherly role, including weapon instruction, drills, and tactics. He only hopes it will all be of some use. He’s never seen a situation like this before, nor an enemy so dire.
