Zhi Shen
“The undead are life without chi. You see why they are so horrific?”
As children, the brothers Zhi Shen and Zhi Yang were set on two very different paths. Both demonstrated talents for manipulating chi, though Zhi Shen did so more by rote and forethought than his brother. As such, his wealthy family sent him to the imperial academies to learn the scholarly arts and ritual spellcasting. He graduated high in his class with his treatise on Intersectional Spellcasting Through Applied Elemental Chi. Or, as his brother would put it: he blows stuff up. Yet he does so with flair, precision, and an ease which other spellcasters only dream of.
