Rei Momo is one of the most iconic figures of Brazilian Carnival. A cheerful, larger-than-life character who symbolically receives the key to the city from the mayor at the start of Carnival festivities, becoming the « king » of the celebration. But after one party too many, he rose from the grave as a gigantic, bloated undead king. His tarnished crown sits crooked atop his head, his royal robes hang in tattered shreds, and he lurches through the streets surrounded by a macabre zombie parade.
